Key Dates
Proposals for all NIST MSE Research Grant Programs except the Engineering Laboratory Grant Program will be considered on a continuing/rolling basis. Proposals received after 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on June 3, 2013 may be processed and considered for funding under this FFO in the current fiscal year or in the next fiscal year, subject to the availability of funds. Proposals for the Engineering Laboratory (EL) Grant Program have a primary deadline for applications of Friday, March 1, 2013. The EL will continue to receive applications under this FFO on a continuing/rolling basis in the current fiscal year and the next fiscal year, and if residual funds are available, will process and consider for funding applications received by May 1, 2013. A subsequent review of applications will be considered if funds are available for applications received by October 15, 2013. Applications after this date are expected to be held for consideration under the next annual MSE FFO. All electronic applications must be received no later 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, and all paper applications must be received by NIST by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the due date. See Section V.2.b.(3) of this FFO for information about the EL review process.
