What This Grant Funds

This Activity aims to support economic growth in North Macedonia driven by the private sector.

The goals of this Activity are to increase micro, small, and medium enterprises’ (MSME)

productivity; create demand driven professionals; improve access to finance for micro, small, and

start-up firms and facilitate investments for MSMEs; strengthen existing public-private dialogue

(PPD) mechanisms; and to improve North Macedonia’s regional economic integration. For this

purpose, the implementing partner under this Activity will engage in resource partnerships with

the private sector for the development of joint interventions and enterprise-driven solutions.

Post-COVID recovery, Europe’s energy crisis and the war in Ukraine are further constraining

economic growth, while future unexpected events may further disrupt growth prospects and

predictions. This Activity will shape its interventions in a way that will help the private sector to

strengthen its ability to respond to, foresee, adapt to and leverage changing conditions. The vision

for resiliency and improved capacity to respond to individual and global challenges must be

embedded in the proposed program.
