What This Grant Funds

The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $25,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. This NOFO will support the Government of Haiti’s (GOH) Strategic Plans for HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) service delivery. The recipient(s) will implement comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment by i) identifying HIV-positive adults and children through facility provider-initiated testing and counseling (PITC); ii) community HIV testing and counseling with prompt linkage to treatment; iii) treatment adherence monitoring; iv) differentiated service delivery models for treatment retention; and v) routine clinical and viral load (VL) monitoring for eventual HIV epidemic control. This NOFO also encompasses clinical technical assistance for continuous quality improvement (CQI) at the facility and community sites, as well as departmental and national levels. Technical assistance (TA) will include clinical mentoring, on-the-spot coaching and targeted health care worker (HCW) trainings for increased task shifting. Implementation will occur in ten (10) administrative departments, with adjustments based on the evolving HIV epidemic. Recipient(s) will include targeted service delivery for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). Recipient(s) will collaborate with faith and community leaders, departmental health teams and local associations of people living with HIV (PLHIV) for service delivery to achieve the GOH and PEPFAR HIV/TB strategic goals.
