What This Grant Funds

The purpose of this amendment is to: 1. Update the section identification for the foreign waiver information in SECTION II ? AWARD INFORMATION and SECTION III - ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION. 2. Inform applicants to identify the topic area they are applying to in both the Project Summary Abstract File and Project Narrative File in SECTION IV ? APPLICATION AND SUBMISSION INFORMATION. All other parts of the Funding Opportunity Announcement remain unchanged. All edits are highlighted in yellow to clearly call attention to the revisions that have been made. In conjunction with the National Oceanographic Partnership Program (NOPP), the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), Wind and Water Power Technologies Office (WWPTO), is issuing a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) entitled Marine and Hydrokinetic (MHK) Environmental Effects Assessment and Monitoring. The DOE is working closely with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) to support and promote increased understanding of the potential environmental effects of marine and hydrokinetic energy devices. This FOA will support the collection of environmental monitoring and experimental data from MHK devices and analyses of existing data.
