What This Grant Funds

The United States has assessed that the Russian Federation has used chemical weapons in assassination attempts in the U.K. and Russia, and on the battlefield in Ukraine. In response, the U.S. government has imposed trade restrictions and/or sanctions against specific entities believed to be associated with the Russian Federation’s Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) programs. This has included at least 25 entities located throughout Russia and Western Europe.
