What This Grant Funds

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) staff that work pursuant to the Central Valley Project Improvement Act (CVPIA) in California's Central Valley have been collecting and analyzing rotary screw trap (RST) data since the 1990s and have a continuing need for standardized, high-quality juvenile salmonid monitoring data. These data will be used to monitor the juvenile salmonid populations in the American and Stanislaus rivers, and also be used to assess fish responses to changing flow conditions and habitat restoration activities.
