What This Grant Funds

The purpose of this NOFO is to develop a lead-based paint risk assessment demonstration grant program for public housing agencies to conduct lead hazard screens or lead-based paint risk assessments of units in which a family receiving assistance under section 8(o) of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437f(o)) resides or expects to reside, and has or expects to have a child under age 6 residing in the unit, while preserving rental housing availability and affordability.

Only Public Housing Authorities administering Housing Choice Voucher Programs are eligible under this NOFO.  Indian Housing Authorities are not eligible.   Individuals, foreign entities, and sole proprietorship organizations are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement.
