Cooperative Agreement for CESU-affiliated Partner with Great Lakes-Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit

U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) National Climate Adaptation Science Center (NCASC) solicits research to recommend research agendas for two social science areas critical to the CASC mission; 1) ecosystem service research and 2) social and economic value of information research. Climate change is already altering ecosystem services, or the benefits people receive from nature, and decision makers need to understand both how these changes will affect adaptation options and when ecosystem service management may provide adaptation options. If applied, ecosystem service research, and all other research done by the CASCs will help to inform the natural, social and economic outcomes of decisions made by stakeholder agencies Research objectives include: 1) Identify high priority research topics related to ecosystem services; 2) Identify high priority research topics related to social and economic value of information
