GRANTQUICK SUMMARYPlain-English Overview

CDC is funding one award to sustain HIV services in Ukraine by strengthening resilient health systems amid the ongoing war. This is a highly specialized international global health grant for organizations currently providing HIV treatment/prevention in Ukraine and needing to maintain services despite active conflict conditions.

Who Should Apply

Organizations currently operating HIV programs in Ukraine with demonstrated ability to maintain services during conflict. Must have existing Ukrainian partnerships and infrastructure.

Who Should NOT Apply

Organizations without current Ukraine operations, HIV organizations without conflict-zone experience, domestic-only providers, or groups just entering the Ukraine space.

Key Requirements (Plain English)

  • Must sustain HIV services in Ukraine specifically
  • Must strengthen health system resilience amid conflict
  • Single award (amount not stated — likely $5-20M)
  • Must have existing Ukraine operations and partnerships
  • Must maintain continuity of antiretroviral treatment
  • No cost-sharing required

💡 GrantQuick Tip

This is almost certainly directed to the organization(s) already running PEPFAR-funded HIV programs in Ukraine (likely FHI 360, JSI, or a similar large global health implementer with Ukraine presence). The war context makes this a continuity grant — they need someone who's already there and functioning, not a new entrant learning the landscape. Don't apply unless you're already delivering HIV services in Ukraine.

Competitiveness: Not competitive in practice — effectively a sole-source to existing Ukraine HIV implementers.
