What This Grant Funds

OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, BJA seeks to fund an organization that will design and administer a competitive microgrant program for small, rural, and tribal law enforcement agencies intending to establish or expand a body-worn camera program. The organization will also provide comprehensive training and technical assistance (TTA) services to law enforcement agencies funded by the same organization's microgrant program.

Public and state controlled institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education) that have experience in managing and delivering training and technical assistance on complex criminal justice technology implementations at the national and local levels.
