What This Grant Funds

OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. This solicitation is exclusively for those who received a letter from BJA to apply. All guidelines and funding rules are the same as for the originally funded project. Statutory Authority: The RISS Program is authorized by Part M of Title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, Public Law 90-351, Title I, Sec. 1301 (codified at 34 U.S.C. § 10321); Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2023 (Public Law 117-328; 136 Stat. 4459, 4540)

This is limited to one of the six RISS Centers; Mid-Atlantic Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network (MAGLOCLEN), Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC), New England State Police Information Network (NESPIN), Rocky Mountain Information Network (RMIN), Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC), and Western States Information Network (WSIN).
