What This Grant Funds

This program supports efforts to enhance juvenile defense delivery systems and improve juvenile defense practice. This program furthers the Department’s mission to reduce violent crime by supporting efforts to address barriers and gaps within the juvenile justice system for indigent youth in order to reduce reoffending and decrease recidivism. Statutory Authority: Awards under this solicitation will be made under the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2021 Pub. L. No. 116-260, 134 Stat. 1182, 1261.
