What This Grant Funds

Reducing Mercury Use and Increasing Transparency in Ghana's Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining Sector. This project aims to facilitate Ghana's development and implementation of laws and regulations for the governance of its ASGM sector in ways that will encourage transparent and responsible management, and which will, in turn, strengthen implementation of Ghana's obligations under the Minamata Convention on Mercury.
