What This Grant Funds

The Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs seeks to support women business leaders from less privileged and/or rural backgrounds, including survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, to maintain a viable and successful business, which will ultimately improve the economic well-being of their families and communities. The project aims to build upon ongoing USG efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among disadvantaged communities. A secondary goal is to assist these women in overcoming both the social and technical challenges of growing their business by taking their business online and by increasing their opportunities for success through broader community education and awareness building.
