What This Grant Funds

The purpose of this NOFO is to promote nonproliferation outcomes in Indonesia by 1) improving understanding of the importance and mechanics of foreign direct investment (FDI) screening to mitigate malign and exploitative investment activities which can undermine nonproliferation objectives; 2) supporting the adoption, implementation, administration, and enforcement of intangible technology transfer (ITT) controls; and 3) helping build and socialize a body of empirical research on the economic effects associated with adopting strategic trade controls (STCs).
